この度開店にあたり、お祝いのお花を贈りたいというお言葉をたくさん頂戴いたしまして、心より感謝申し上げます。

開店の日に沢山の胡蝶蘭が玄関先に並ぶこと、それは私も憧れていた夢の形のひとつです。
しかし私の八席の小さなお店では、生花の維持や管理の場所が追い付かず、折角の皆様のお心とお花の命の両方を無駄にしてしまうのではと考えるようになりました。

食材の命を大切に、無駄のないように使い切るという師匠の教えと向き合う中、お花の命も同様、ひと時に過分に頂戴してしまうことは申し訳なく、今回は辞退させて頂きますことご理解頂ければ幸いです。

そこでもし、皆様のお心寄せを、
お祝いのお花の代わりに私の店にございます庭づくりへのご援助というかたちでご厚情賜ることができましたら、大変ありがたく存じます。
古い町屋を改装した店の奥には小さな庭があり、今はまだ何もない砂利の空間になっております。
カウンターから静かに見えるこのお庭を、訪れる方々を優しく迎える花や木のある空間となるよう、大切に育てていきたいと思っています。

We sincerely thank you for the many kind offers to send celebratory flowers for our grand opening.

Having numerous Phalaenopsis orchids line the entrance on opening day was indeed one of my cherished dreams.

However, in my small eight-seat establishment, space for maintaining and caring for fresh flowers is limited.

I began to worry that accepting them might waste both your thoughtful gestures and the flowers' precious lifespans.

Reflecting on my mentor's teachings to cherish the life of ingredients and use them without waste,

I feel it would be equally disrespectful to the life of flowers to receive so many at once. Therefore, I humbly request your understanding as I must decline them this time.

Instead, if you would kindly consider directing your thoughtful gestures

towards supporting the creation of a garden at my shop, rather than sending celebratory flowers, I would be deeply grateful.

At the back of my shop, renovated from an old machiya townhouse, lies a small garden. Currently, it is just a bare gravel space.

I wish to nurture this garden, quietly visible from the counter, into a welcoming space filled with flowers and trees that gently greet our visitors.
